Beckton Park DLR station

Beckton Park is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the Royal Albert Way in Beckton District. On the south side there is the Royal Albert Dock.

Was opened the station on 28 March 1994, together with the branch line towards Beckton. During the heyday of the Docklands was almost at the same location, a station called Central. It was built on 3 August 1880 by the Eastern Counties and Thames Junction Railway and had to be closed at the track due to irreparable damage bombs on 8 September 1940.

As Cyprus has also the station Beckton Park on an unusual design. In this section, the route of the DLR runs down the middle of a multi- directional separate road. The station is located within a large roundabout. Just before the road rises slightly, while the railway line drops slightly. Consequently, the station is located in an incision under the elevated roundabout. The pedestrian access takes place at the level in between.
