Cyprus DLR station

Cyprus is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the Royal Albert Way in Beckton District. On the south side, right on the Royal Albert Dock, is a campus of the University of East London.

Was opened the station on 28 March 1994, together with the branch line towards Beckton. During the heyday of the Docklands was here from 1880 to 1940 the Eastern Counties and Thames Junction Railway.

How Beckton Park has also the station Cyprus in an unusual design. In this section, the route of the DLR runs down the middle of a multi-lane, direction separate road. The station is located within a large roundabout. Just before the road rises slightly, while the railway line drops slightly. Consequently, the station is located in an incision under the elevated roundabout. The pedestrian access takes place at the level in between.
