Belier

The Belier was a French sounding rocket and put the starting point for a whole range of solid rocket represents, which consisted of the Belier, the Centaure, the Dragon, the Dauphin and Eridan.

The Belier was launched in three versions 1961-1970 of Hammaguir, Salto di Quirra, Ile du Levant and Kourou. It was also used as an upper stage of other French sounding rockets.

The Belier was a single stage. The Jericho - engine bar 20 kN take-off thrust and burnt 230 kg of fuel in 23 seconds. After 175 seconds a riser height of 135 km was achieved.
