Dauphin (rocket)

The Dauphin was a French single-stage sounding rocket, from the 1967-1978 six copies were started. It represents a modification of the starting stage of the Dragon with a larger payload nose cone

Dauphin has a diameter of 56 cm and a length of 6.21 m. The starting composition was about 1132 kg, of which 686 kg of fuel. With a takeoff thrust of 90 kN a payload of 130 kg should be brought to a peak altitude of 150 km.

The Dauphin was thus one of a family of solid-fuel rockets, which consisted of the Belier, the Centaure, the Dragon, the Dauphin and Eridan.
