Belin-Béliet
Belin- Béliet is a French town with 4413 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The city is since 1 January 2007, the arrondissement of Arcachon and is the capital (French: chef- lieu) of its own canton.
Geography
Belin- Béliet located about 45 kilometers south of Bordeaux in the Regional Natural Park Landes de Gascogne. The city is crossed by the river Eyre.
History
One of the historic pilgrims' routes, the so-called Via Turonensis, runs through the city.
