Bell is a city in Gilchrist County in the U.S. state of Florida with 456 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

Bell is located around 15 kilometers north of Trenton, and about 150 km south-west of Jacksonville.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 456 inhabitants distributed in 202 households. The population density was 108.6 inh. / Km ². 94.3 % of the population were white, 0.4% African American, 0.4% Native American and 0.9 % Asian Americans. 3.6% were members of other ethnic groups and 0.4 % of various ethnicities. 10.7% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 29.1 % of all households lived in 37.8 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 67.4 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.65 persons and the average family size is 3.20 people.

31.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 25.1% were 20-39 years old, 23.9 % were 40-59 years old and 20.0 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 36 years. 52.0 % of the population were male and 48.0 % female.

The average annual income was $ 36,815, while 12.6 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 97.44 % of the population spoke Spanish and 2.56%.
