Belonchamp

Belonchamp is a commune in Haute -Saône in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Belonchamp situated at an altitude of 340 m above sea level, 13 km north-east of Lure and about 24 km northwest of the town of Belfort ( a straight line ). The village is located in the eastern part of the department, at the top Ognon, in the south-western Vosges, at the edge of the Plateau des Mille Étangs.

The area of ​​6.87 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the south-western Vosges. From northeast to southwest, the area is crossed by the Alluvialniederung Ognon. The flat alluvial plain is on average 340 m and has a width of approximately one kilometer. It is used primarily for agricultural purposes. The municipal area of Ognon of East takes on the Raddon.

History

In the Middle Ages Belonchamp belonged to the Free County of Burgundy and in the territory of the Bailliage d' amont. The local government had initially served the Lords of Faucogney, later, the village belonged to the barony Mélisey. Together with the Franche -Comté reached the village with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678 definitively to France. With the opening of the tram of Lure by La Bresse (1895 ) Belonchamp was connected to the network of public transport. Attractions
