Bełtno

Bełtno ( German Bolton at Schivelbein ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the powiat Świdwiński.

Geographical Location

Bełtno located nine kilometers west of Świdwin on the province road No. 152 Szczecinek ( Pommern ) - Barwice ( Bärwalde ) - Połczyn Zdrój (Bad Polzin ) - Świdwin - Starogard ( Stargordt ) (- Resko (rain forest ) ). In the village a side road branches off to the Lekowo ( Leckow ) - Ciechnowo ( Technow ) - Slawoborze ( Stolzenberg ) from.

Nearest railway stations are: Świdwin (9 km) on the route Berlin - Stettin - Pomerania - Gdansk or Starogord (9 km) along the route Łobez ( Labes ) - Resko (rain forest ) - Płoty ( Plathe ).

History

In Bolton and in Rützenhagen (now Polish: Rusinowo ) formerly lived Rütze. 1763 Governing Council is called by Loeper as the owner of the manor.

1821 Bauer regulation was made: five farmers were recognized. Lords of the manor was bailiff Stenigke, then von Oppen ( 1833), bailiff Dobbert (1836 ) and others. In 1928 the estate was owned by Julius Cleveland in Leckow ( Lekowo ) - at a size of at least 634 hectares. When the war ended in 1945 34 farms were established. The craft was represented by a forge and a wheelwright.

By 1932 Bolton was part of the county Schivelbein until this in the county Belgard ( Persante ) was dissolved. 1939 were counted in 54 households 232 villagers. The municipality area was 758.5 ​​hectares at the time.

Bolton was part of the official and the civil registry district Lankow in the District Court area Schivelbein. Last German mayor was Max Ninmann.
