Benoit Dunoyer de Segonzac (* 1962 in Strasbourg ) is a French composer and bassist who is best known for its involvement in the formation of Jacques Loussier Jazz, the founder of Play Bach, known.

Dunoyer de Segonzac began with five years of a musical education at the Strasbourg Conservatory. At the age of twenty years he completed his studies on double bass from at Vincent Pasquier and Jean Marc Rollez. He plays several instruments and engaged in a wide musical spectrum, from jazz (Louis Sclavis, René Urtreger, Marc Ducret, Vincent Courtois, Jean- Rémy Guédon ) about classical music, contemporary music (Jean Pierre Arnaud ) and improvised music ( Accroche score) to chanson (Pierre Louki ), Cabaret ( Hanna Schygulla ) as well as film music ( la permission aux enfants Demandez by Eric Civanyan ).
