Bernard W. Burton

Bernard W. Burton ( born December 24, 1898 in New York City; † February 26, 1991 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California ) was an American editor who was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1938 for an Academy Award for Best Editing.

Life

Burton began his career as an editor in the film industry in Hollywood in 1928 at Melody of Love, a lost film with Walter Pidgeon and Jane Winton, and worked throughout his career to 1968 as editor and chief editor (Editorial Supervisor) at almost eighty films and episodes of television series with.

At the Academy Awards in 1938, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Editing for the film comedy 100 men and a girl (1937 ).

Since 1942, Burton was also active in film producer and produced until 1958 nearly thirty films, such as from the film series Joe Palooka.
