Bernhard Sinkel

Bernhard Sinkel ( born January 19, 1940 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse ) is a German film director, writer and producer.

Life

Bernhard Sinkel completed after high school the first and second state examination. After that, he became a lawyer. From 1970 to 1972 he was head of the archives and the documentation of the magazine Der Spiegel.

In 1971 he founded with Alf Brustellin, Edgar Reitz, Ula Stöckl, Nikos Perakis and Alexander Kluge in Munich Film Workshop ULM ( Independent play of light Manufactory ). Sinkel participated as a writer and co-producer.

In Munich he picked up the 1975 ABS - film production from the baptism and continued to work with Alf Brustellin. Her films were up to Brustellins death oriented invariably critical of society.

In 1986, he exclaimed with Bodo Scriba the Alcor film and television production community to life. After disagreements with other co-producers on the design of the television film Hemingway himself Sinkel withdrew. He was in the years after a name as an opera director.
