Berri Barmera is located east of South Australia on the northern edge of the Murraylands near the border with Victoria about 200 km east of the city of Adelaide. The area includes eight districts and towns: Barmera, Berri, Cobdogla, Glossop, Loveday, Monash, Overland Corner and Winkie. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Berri in the east of the LGA on the Murray River.

Management

The Council of Berri Barmera has eleven members, ten Councillor and the Chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council are elected by the residents of the LGA. Berri Barmera is not divided into districts.
