Bethany Dillon

Bethany Dillon ( born September 22, 1988 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, USA; actually Bethany Adelsberger ) is a singer, guitarist and composer in the field of Christian pop music.

Childhood

Bethany Dillon was born as the third child of Bill and Tina Adelsberger in Bellefontaine, Ohio, United States.

Dillons musical career began at the age of 13 when she recorded an " independent" album called Vulnerable, which drew the attention of the Sparrow / EMI producer Brad O'Donnell up.

First album

Their debut album is named after her stage name ( Bethany Dillon ) and was published in 2004. This first album for the label Sparrow / EMI soon found a lively response from the audience. This resulted in several hit singles, Dove Award nominations, good reviews, and a rapidly growing number of loyal fans. It was the best selling debut album by a female Christian solo artist this year and earned two nominations GMA - for both Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. The two radio singles All I Need and Beautiful from the album reached good rankings in the U.S. charts.

Musical development

Dillon released her second label album titled Imagination in August 2005. In an article in CCM Magazine, she was then referred to as the future of Christian pop music. You even find this item but inappropriate.

Dillon also appears on the soundtrack album Music inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia with the song Hero. It describes itself as a Narnia fan.

A song on the CD called Imagination Dreamer runs as film music during the credits of the eponymous film ( Dreamer - A dream come true). To "Dreamer", a video clip was created with elements of the film.

It publishes self-written, often very personal diary entries.

In 2008, a reduced acoustically recorded album was released called So Far: The Acoustic Sessions.

It is committed to the work of Gospel for Asia, for their project in India in 2006 she took one trip that they among other things, inspired to the song Beggar's Heart.

Tours

  • In the summer of 2004 she participated in the Shane & Shane tour.
