Between the Screams

Between the Screams were an English progressive metal band from Southend -on-Sea.

History

The singer Adam Ralph, guitarist Daniel Waterhouse and the drummer knew each other from a previous band. Once they had decided to pursue a musical harder direction, some members left the previous band and bassist Terry Blake and Chris Froment joined the band that henceforth Between the Screams called. In early 2008 Mark Ravinet the band but again leave because he wanted to concentrate on his studies, after which he was replaced by Chris Horton. Then the band started the recordings for their first EP, which they had to stop short because singer Adam Ralph had contracted pneumonia. In early May appeared with the embryo debut EP, which drove the band itself.

In the summer of 2009 the band signed a record deal with the British record label Basick Records, where she wanted to release her debut album, which was released with Our Last Days on Earth on October 5, 2009. The album should be produced at first by Jonny Renshaw of Devil Sold His Soul the band, but lost several band members their jobs and had to reorient itself so that cooperation with Renshaw was not possible. Instead, the album in the Welsh Mighty Atom Studios by Joe Gibb was produced, who had already worked with bands like Funeral for a Friend. The cover was designed by Jon Barmby, who had previously made ​​cover artwork for bands like already Architects. In November 2009, the song Blood Red Dawn in Sam Carter's Rock Show was played on BBC Radio 1.

Between March and April 2010, the band on the side of Among the Wolves played a tour of UK and should have an appearance on the Mammothfest, but what they had to cancel. In addition, drummer Chris Horton came in August left the band, after which the band began looking for a new drummer. In May 2011, the band released their resolution was then known.
