Between Two Worlds (English, Between two worlds '), the first and only studio album by the Norwegian metal band is I. It was released on November 3, 2006 through Nuclear Blast.

Formation

Following the temporary dissolution of his band Immortal singer and guitarist Abbath started ( civil Olve Eikemo ) to write new songs. He drew on many ideas that were originally intended for Immortal. With the help of guitarist Ice Dale ( Arve civil Isdal ) the musicians worked over a period of three years to the material. As with the lyrics of Immortal Abbath Demonaz longtime companion (born Harald Nævdal ) originate.

Between Two Worlds was recorded in Lydriket Studio in Bergen. The album was produced by Ice Dale, mixing took Peter Tägtgren. The mastering took Thomer Eberger. With the song Far Beyond the Quiet, the band pays tribute to the late 2004 Bathory - founder Thomas " Quorthon " Forsberg tribute.

For Gunnar Sauermann from Metal Hammer Between Two Worlds is a "Party for the hard disk fraction can rotate the turnip -stop ". He gave the album six out of seven points. Arlette Huguenin from the online magazine Vampster criticized the lack of " variety in terms of tempo " and called Between Two Worlds as " well played, but somewhat soulless work".
