Arve Isdal

Arve Isdal ( born August 28, 1977 in Bergen), also known by his pseudonym Ice Dale, is a Norwegian guitarist. He is a member of the band Enslaved and Audrey Horne. In addition to other bands he has worked as a music producer.

Career

Originally Isdal wanted to be a drummer and started playing on a home-made kit. About his father, who was himself a guitarist, he came to the guitar and played by ear songs from Kiss and Guns N ' Roses to. His musical influences include hard rock bands of the 1970s such as Kiss, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. It was not until the mid-1990s he came to the Extreme Metal. Isdal made ​​his first musical experiences with the Black Metal band Malignant Eternal, his most recent album alarm he played. After the dissolution of the band in 2002 he was a member of Enslaved, with whom he won four times the Spellemannprisen in the category of Metal.

At the same time he started with some friends for the fun of the hard rock band Audrey Horne. The band's debut album No Hay Banda was awarded the Spellemannprisen. In Audrey Horne's second album Le Fol Isdal played the bass. In Audrey Horne Isdal assumes the role of main songwriter. In 2006 Isdal produced the debut album Between Two Worlds of the Immortal Singer " Abbath " founded project I. Here Isdal can also be heard as a guitarist. Today Isdal focused on the band Audrey Horne and Enslaved. By the way he played on albums by the bands Bourbon Flame, Ov Hell and Trinacria.
