I (Band)

I is a Norwegian heavy metal band from Bergen. The band was founded in 2005 and previously released a studio album.

Band History

Founded two years after the temporary resolution of Immortal Olve " Abbath " Eikemo along with former Immortal drummer Armagedda, guitarist Arve "Ice Dale " Isdal ( Enslaved, Audrey Horne ) and bassist Tom Cato "TC King" Visnes ( Sahg, Ex - Gorgoroth ) the band I. the music is written by Abbath, who used I many riffs and ideas that did not fit his opinion to Immortal. The texts writes former Immortal guitarist Harald " Demonaz " Nævdal, which is not active as a musician in the band, however. Demonaz also suggested the band's name I.

In April 2006 the band signed a contract with the German label Nuclear Blast. On 26 August 2006, the band released their first and only concert played as part of the Hole- in-the- Sky festival in Bergen. The debut album Between Two Worlds was released on 3 November 2006 and was honored by the music press with good reviews. With the song Far Beyond the Quiet, the band pays tribute to the late 2004 Bathory - founder Quorthon tribute. In 2007, the band Immortal Abbath reactivated again. In an interview, however, he explained that he definitely would not make a second I- album.
