Bill Brown (Scottish footballer)

William Dallas Fyfe Brown ( born October 8, 1931 in Arbroath, Scotland, † December 1, 2004 in Simcoe, Canada) was a Scottish football player.

He played as a goalkeeper at Tottenham Hotspur, as this 1961 Double succeeded and won the championship and the FA Cup ( Football Association Challenge Cup ) in England. Against Spurs, he played for Dundee, a year later, in Northampton, 1967, he went to Canada and played up to end of his career at the Toronto Falcons, a Canadian soccer team, which consisted of only two seasons long. After the retirement he remained in Canada and worked as in the construction industry and for the government.

Although he has only once won the Scottish League Cup, he was one of the pillars of the Scottish team. At the World Cup finals in 1958, he belonged to the Scottish squad and there came in the group stage match against France (1-2) for his first senior international. Overall, he played 28 games for Scotland. Even before he played for Scotland at various youth teams.
