Billy Jayne

Billy Jayne ( born April 10, 1969 in Queens, New York City, New York), actually William Jayne, is an American actor. Up to the age of 17, he appeared under the name of Billy Jacoby.

Life

Jayne had his first film role at the age of three years. He played in the television production that time in the summer in flashbacks the younger Nick Salter, who was otherwise represented by his older brother Scott Jacoby. Since his brother was already established as an actor ( he received for his role in this film an Emmy Award), Jayne received the stage name Jacoby. This was due to the fact that the brothers different fathers and, consequently, different family name had. Used until the age of 17 years Jayne back to his birth name. Billy Jayne's younger brother is actor Robert Jayne.

Jayne began his career as an actor in the late 1970s. In the on the feature film The Bears are going based, 26 - part television series of the same name, he played one of the team members of the baseball team the bears. This was followed by guest appearances in various series formats and feature films, including the Stephen King adaptation Cujo. Between 1985 and 1987 he had a recurring role in the series Silver Spoons with Ricky Schroder in the lead role. In 1990 he received a starring role in the series Parker Lewis - The Cool of the school, which he played until 1993 in 73 episodes. Jayne was nominated several times for the Young Artist Award and received the award three times, the first time in 1985.

From the late 1990s he turned to the work behind the camera and shot commercials for, among others, Dockers, Taco Bell and Jeep.
