Bjørnsund Lighthouse

The Bjørnsund fyr is a beacon on the west coast of Norway in the municipality Fræna Fylke in Møre og Romsdal. The lighthouse is located 26 meters above the sea and has a range of 15 nautical miles. The beacon was built in 1871 and it was manned until 1994. In 2000 it was placed under protection. 1955 Bjørnsund fyr with radio waves and 1977 retrofitted with radar. Since 1955 there is a phone that replaced the old foghorn of 1918.
