Blue Café

Blue Café is a Polish pop band, with elements of acid jazz, funk, soul and Latin rhythms from Łódź. They were nominated at the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards in the category Best Polish Act. Internationally became the band in 2004 with the song " Love Song", the Polish contribution to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2004.

History

The first single from the band " Español " was released in August 2001, but was not very successful. A year later, the song " Kochamy siebie ... " was released, which was a big hit, and the debut album Fanaberia drew audience and critical acclaim. In the same year, the band won by the song the Fryderyk in the category " Debut of the Year ". 2003 saw the band on the Polish preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2003 with the song " You May Be in Love" part. It won the Polish band Ich Troje with the song " No Boundaries - Żadnych Granic ", which reached the 7th place in Riga in the final of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2003. The song " You May Be in Love" reached only the third place in the preliminary round, however, brought the national success of the band. In the same year the album was certified Fanaberia the platinum record. In 2003, the band released their second studio album Demi -sec, which reached number 3 in Poland. The album contains the song " Love Song ," which the group participated for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2004 in the Polish decider. This time the band won with over 60,000 votes. In the final in Istanbul the song reached the 17th place with 27 points. In 2005, the band toured abroad.

In the fall of 2006, the band released their first studio album ( Ovosho ) published with a new singer ( Dominika Gawęda ). It received one weeks certifies the gold record after publication. The fourth album Four Seasons was published in spring 2008. This peaked in the Polish album charts Place 4 In May 2011, the fifth studio album DaDa appeared, which reached number 7 in Poland.
