Blue Lake Records

Blue Lake Records was an American record label of the 1950s.

The short-lived label Blue Lake Records was founded in 1954 in Chicago by the disc jockey Al Benson ( 1908-1978 ) established as a sub-label of Parrot Records and lasted until mid- 1956. Appeared on his recordings from the fields of blues, jazz, doo-wop and gospel, among others, by Red Saunders, Joe Williams, Baby Boy Warren, King Fleming, Von Freeman and Jody Williams. Many of the incurred at Blue Lake recordings were later distributed by Chess Records.
