Bogdan Norčič

Bogdan Norcic ( born September 19, 1953 in Kranj; † 6 April 2004 Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia) was a Yugoslavian ski jumper. His year of birth is given in the FIS 1950.

Career

He began in 1971 with the jumping and made a stir in 1977 when he takes on the ski jump of Planica 181 yards flew as a fore. The former world record he had thus surpassed by five meters, but he could not stand the plunge. From 1979, he jumped in the World Cup and collected multiple points, which earned him 20th place in the overall standings. was able to achieve respectable results. His two podiums he won in 1980 in Sapporo, as he gave the 2nd and finished 3rd from strong jumpers like Armin Kogler, Roger Ruud and Horst Bulau. For Yugoslavia, he also participated at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976 and 1980 in Lake Placid. Later he worked as a coach. 2004 died Bogdan Norcic after a long illness.

His son Bine Norcic was active between 1998 and 2000 also in the Ski Jumping World Cup.
