Armin Kogler

Armin Kogler ( born September 4, 1959 in Schwaz ) is a former star of Austrian ski jumper.

Career

After the World Championship title in ski flying in 1979, Kogler 1981 a new world record in ski jumping at (180 m). In the years that followed, two overall victories in the Ski Jumping World Cup and the World Champion title on the normal hill. In 1984 the first Austrian Kogler the Holmenkollen medal.

Since 1989, Kogler works as a commercial pilot at Tyrolean Airways and as a co- commentator and analyzer at ski transfers in the service of the ORF. End of February 2007, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and therefore could not comment on the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo. In the 2007 /08 season, he joined as a co- commentator for the ORF on again.

Kogler has two daughters, his nephew is the Austrian ski jumper Martin Koch.
