Bojan Vuletić

Bojan Vuletic ( born June 11, 1971 in Belgrade ) is a composer and musician. For the music of Bojan Vuletic the overcoming of form and genre boundaries and his interdisciplinary work in theater plays, art installations, films, contemporary dance and poetry is characteristic. His compositional works range from chamber music to orchestral and big band, from contemporary to improvised music, from world music to pop for a wide variety of ensembles and projects.

Life and Music

Bojan Vuletic was (former Yugoslavia) was born in Belgrade, Serbia and is most of the time growing up in Germany. Since his childhood, he was taught violin and guitar. Before he studied at a conservatory music, he completed his studies in physics at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich with a thesis in astrophysics on galaxy evolution from. Then he studied jazz guitar at the Dutch Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Arnhem and then composition at the Messiaen Academy at Paul Keijsers and Martin Fondse.

He founded several musical ensembles (among the German - Dutch " Biyuya Ensemble" ), played at concerts and recordings in the United States, Europe, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Egypt and Russia, and was responsible for major projects as the musical director, as " polyphony " and " Sleep, little man, sleeping " in collaboration with the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the European Capital of Culture Ruhr 2010.

Vuletic has played in the United States with artists such as Nate Wooley, Matt Moran, Daniel Levin, Anita Hustas, Audrey Chen, Chao Yun Luo and worked in Asia with Soo -Jung Kae, Chang U Choi and the Moonshiners. In Germany and Europe, composed, arranged and played among other things for and with: Vera Westera, Soleil Niklasson, Minerva Diaz Perez, Michael Gustorff, Philipp Kullmann, Patrice Bart-Williams, Tsvetomir Tsankov, Lillo Scrimali, Heinz Hox, Christoph Titz Nico Brandenburg, Sebastian Gahler, Die Toten Hosen, Frank Schulte and Trovaci.

Vuletic regularly collaborates with visual artists such as Aurelia Mihai and it combines a year-long collaboration with Danica Dakić, as at Documenta 12 and the biennials in Istanbul and Liverpool.

He composed and performed music for directors such as Fabian Sattler, Alexander Stein village, Christof Seeger Zurmühlen and Thorsten Weckherlin at theaters such as the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and the country Burghofbühne. This also includes the music for the Brecht plays " The Caucasian Chalk Circle" and " Saint Joan of the Stockyards ", which was officially approved by Barbara Brecht - Schall and the Brecht heirs GmbH as a new composition. As a composer and performer Vuletic was heard in contemporary dance pieces in Asia, North America and Germany, including the choreographer Yun -Jun Kim and Marcus grudges.

The produced by him for the author Naomi Schenck radio play " The Riddle of the sheep " won the 2006 award for " premiere in network " ARD Radio Play Days and its given by the Serbian transmitter RTS commissioned radio installation " Photosensitive, 1" was for a variety of international prices nominated.
