Bolsterlang

Bolsterlang is a municipality in the district of Upper Allgäu and a member of the administrative community horns Group, headquartered in Fischen im Allgau. The town is a member of the German - Austrian joint project Nagelfluhkette National Park.

Geography

Bolsterlang is located in the Upper Allgaeu, between Sonthofen and Oberstdorf.

History

Bolsterlang belonged to Austria before it finally came to Bavaria. The place was part of the county Königsegg -Roth Rock, which was replaced in 1804 with Austria and the Treaty of Pressburg in 1805 fell to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Since March 2, 2008 Monika Zeller is the mayor of Bolsterlang. She is the first mayor in the district of Upper Allgäu region.

Cableways

The base station of six-person gondola Hörnerbahn with two sections located at the foot of Bolsterlanger horn. The second section leads from the central station to the 1540 meter high Horngrat between Bolsterlanger Horn and Weiherkopf. In the summer of 2013, the 40 -year-old Weiherkopf drag lift was replaced by a modern, detachable 6- seater chairlift Weiherkopf web. At the village lift an additional Hörni - platter lift was installed.
