Bonarda Piemontese

Bonarda Piemontese is a red grape variety from Italy. It is cultivated in the Piedmont region where it is used in blends with DOC Nebbiolo and unmixed in table wines.

In the DOC Colli Piacentini 's, Colli di Parma (Emilia -Romagna) and Po at Pavese ( Lombardia) is Bonarda (or Bonarda Grossa ) a synonym for non-related with the Bonarda Piemontese Croatina.

The Bonarda Novarese used in Piedmont in several DOC wines for blending is actually the red variety Uva Rara. Confusingly, this name is, however, occasionally used as a synonym for the Bonarda Piemontese.

Large stocks are also known in Argentina, even if not yet unequivocally recognized by all ampelographers. Bonarda Piemontese is a variety of the noble vine (Vitis vinifera ).
