Borgen (TV series)

Borgen - Dangerous cliques ( Original title: Borgen ) is a Danish television series, developed and written by lead author Adam Price and his co- authors Jeppe Gram and Tobias Lindholm Gjervig. Directed lead Søren Kragh- Jacobsen, Annette K. Olesen, and Mikkel Nørgaard Rumle Hammerich. The first ten-part series was broadcast by the Danish channels DR1 from 26 September 2010, the second in the fall of 2011. Season three had on 1 January 2013 on Danish television premiere. The original Danish title Borgen (German: , the castle ') is the colloquial name of Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish Parliament, the Government and the Supreme Court.

First Season

The focus of the series is Birgitte Nyborg ( Sidse Babette Knudsen ), a politician of the Moderate Party fictitious, who is unexpectedly elected as the first Prime Minister of Denmark. Borgen - Dangerous cliques is about the intrigues and power plays in politics. Furthermore, the influence of the press is the fourth estate as part of the film's narrative. Broadcast

Arte sent on 9 February to March 8, 2012 every Thursday a two-part episode of the first season. The series was broadcast from August 20, 2012 in Switzerland. Süddeutsche.de referred to the series as " phenomenally good European television". She was awarded the 2010 Prix Italia for best television series. 2011 Sidse Babette Knudsen received the Golden Nymph at the Festival de Télévision de Monte- Carlo.
