Borough of Fylde

Fylde is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Lancashire in England. Administrative center is the city of Lytham St Annes, with some departments in Kirkham. The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough of Lytham, of the Urban District Kirkham and Rural Fylde District.

Fylde is also the name of the peninsula on which is located the Borough of Fylde. Cities on the peninsula are Blackpool, Fleetwood, Cleveleys Thornton-, Poulton- le -Fylde and Lytham St Annes.
