Borough of Wellingborough

Wellingborough is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Northamptonshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Wellingborough, in which about two-thirds of the population lives. Other important towns are Bozeat, Earls Barton, Irchester and Wollaston.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the original Borough of Wellingborough and the Rural District Wellingborough.
