Bosco Puthur

Bosco Puthur ( born May 28, 1946 in Parappur, India) is a bishop of the Eparchy of Saint Thomas in Melbourne.

Life

Bosco Puthur received on 27 March 1971, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Diocese of Trichur.

On 15 January 2010 he was named Pope Benedict XVI. Titular Bishop of Foratiana and ordered him to the Curia Bishop in Ernakulam- Angamaly Großerzbistum. The Syro -Malabar Major Archbishop of Ernakulam- Angamaly, Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil, C.Ss.R., donated to him on 13 February of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of archeparchy Tellicherry, George Valiamattam, and the Archbishop of Trichur, Andrews Thazhath.

On January 11, 2014, Pope Francis appointed bishop of the newly erected Eparchy of Saint Thomas in Melbourne. The inauguration took place on 25 March of the same year.
