Boßdorf is a district of Wittenberg, Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

Boßdorf is located about 15 km north of the city center in the Natural Park flaming.

Districts of the former municipality were Assau, Kerzendorf and Weddin.

History

Boßdorf originally belonged to the district Zauch - Belzig ( until 1947 Prussian province of Brandenburg, 1947-1950 Land Brandenburg ). In 1950, the municipality was assigned to the district of Wittenberg in Saxony- Anhalt ( from 1952 Halle district, from 1990 again Saxony -Anhalt).

On 1 January 2010, until then independent municipality Boßdorf was incorporated together with the communities and Straach Kropstädt to Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
