Boy Hayje

Gerard Johan " Boy" Hayje ( May 3, 1949 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch racing driver. 1976 and 1977 he was reported for a total of seven Formula 1 Grands Prix but failed to qualify only three times.

Career

After the Cup victory in the Dutch Formula Ford 1974 resulted Hayje for the possibility of international motor racing career. In the same year he ran his first race in the European Formula 5000 in a McLaren M18. The following year Hayje took in five more races this series partly in the service of the team Hezemans Racing, but failed to reach remarkable results.

1976 Hayje participated in the British Formula 3 series, finishing in eighth place in the championship standings. In addition, he played three races in the European Formula 3, where he had a pole position and a podium place was taken.

In the same year Hayjes gained international notoriety when he.
