Bravantice

Bravantice ( German Brosdorf, formerly Brofansdorf ) is a village in Moravian-Silesian Region (Czech Republic). The city is located south-west of Ostrava and between Klimkovice and Bílovec.

History

The first written mention comes from 1370. During the 15th century resided the old knights of the Pivec Hratschein and Klimstein in Bravantice, Werner Pivec of Hratschein Klimstein and died in 1431 on his property Bravantice village. In years 1478-1602 were the owners of Polish nobles Chobřany. From 7 to 9 July 1997 Bravantice was a flood that damaged the Church of St. Valentine and the historic bridge in front of the castle.
