Breaza
Breaza is a town in Prahova County in Romania.
Location
Breaza located in the Great Wallachia in the Prahova river in the southern foothills of the Carpathians. The county seat Ploieşti is situated about 40 km south-east.
History
Breaza was first documented in 1431. In addition to agriculture played a long time also the trade - and the location on the road to the Carpathian pass Predeal - an important role. In the 19th century was in place a temporary duty station.
In the 20th century Breaza became a health resort; In 1952 he was declared a city. Today, in addition to retail and light industry, tourism is the main industry.
