Brent Fisher

Brent Fisher (born 6 July 1983) is a New Zealand soccer player.

Club career

Fisher came at the age of 17 years for New Zealand club Canterbury United. After two years he moved to the Australian National Soccer League to Northern Spirit FC. After two seasons, 29 inserts and six goals he briefly went to Manly United and eventually moved into the winter break 2004/ 05 to Germany to Energie Cottbus in the Bundesliga 2. After the departure of Michael Thurk Fisher was an option to fill the resulting gap in energy striker. However, he could not sit down and was only brought on in two games. On 25 Round the away game in Ahlen brought him coach Petrik Sander in the 79th minute, on the 32nd matchday in Burghausen he came in the 90th minute of the square. With its 13 minutes, he had the shortest operating time of all energy used player in the season. Despite a contract until 2006 he left Cottbus at the end of the season.

He joined the short term the Norwegian club IK Start to came here but not used. In 2006 he went back to his home to Canterbury United.

Between 2006 and 2009, Fisher played in the third Swedish League for soil BK.

Since 2009 he is back in New Zealand, after a brief stint for an amateur club he signed in October in Waitakere City.

National

Brent Fisher played ten times between 2002 and 2006 for the New Zealand national football team, scoring four goals. He made his debut in October 2002 in a friendly match against Estonia. In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, Fisher started all five games for New Zealand, and failed with the team in the second round of the Oceania zone.

Back in 1999, Fisher took part with the U-17 national team at the U -17 World Cup in their own country. After three operations, two defeats and one victory, he missed with the team to the quarter- finals.
