Brian Hansen (speed skater)

Brian Hansen ( born September 3, 1990 in Evanston, Illinois ) is an American speed skater. He started at the age of ten years with the speed skating.

In his first World Cup participation, the 2009 World Championships in Vancouver, Hansen wins along with Trevor Marsicano and Ryan Bedford the bronze medal in the team pursuit.

Hansen has already age of 19 participated in the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. In the team pursuit, he won the silver medal along with Chad Hedrick and Jonathan Kuck.

At the World Championships 2012 in Heerenveen Hansen wins again a medal in the team pursuit. Along with Shani Davis and Jonathan Kuck he is second behind the winning Dutch.

Hansen studied economics at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
