Brioni (fashion)

The fashion company Brioni is an Italian luxury fashion outfitter. The company is headquartered Penne ( Abruzzo ). The turnover in 2006 amounted to 200 million euros. CEO since 2006, Andrea Perrone.

Collection

Under the label Brioni men's high fashion is mainly distributed. Parts of the collection are handcrafted. Typical of Brioni is the figure and waist fitted cut. History

The fashion house was founded in 1945 by the tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and fashion designer Gaetano Savini in Rome. The aim was to establish a high-fashion label for men's fashion. The first fashion show took place in 1952 in Florence's Palazzo Pitti. First time in 1956, a women's fashion collection was presented.

The name comes from the Croatian Brijuni Brijuni Islands. One of the founders visited the island and was so excited that the company was named after it.
