British Academy

The British Academy [full name: British Academy for the Promotion of Historical, Philosophical and Philological Studies] (Eng. British Academy ) is a British learned society for science care with over 800 elected members. It serves as the National Academy of Sciences of the United Kingdom for the Humanities. It was founded with headquarters in Carlton House Terrace, London in 1902 by royal privilege ( Royal Charter ).
