Brohltal

The community association Brohltal is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Ahrweiler, in the north of Rhineland- Palatinate. The administrative headquarters is located in the local church Niederzissen. The municipality was formed in 1970.
It is characteristic of the Brohltal of her giving the name Brohlbach. Are interesting for tourists of the Laacher See, the castle and the Olbrück Brohltalbahn, a museum narrow gauge railway, one of which even offers steam trains.

History
During the territorial and administrative reform in Rhineland -Palatinate, which took place in the period between 1965 and 1975, were based on the territory of the present municipality Brohltal, first with effect from October 1968 the former offices Burgbrohl and Kempenich in the district of Mayen and the Office Niederzissen converted in the district of Ahrweiler, in association communities.
The community association was formed Brohltal new data in the eighth administrative simplification law of the state of Rhineland -Palatinate ( 8 VwVeinfG ) from July 28, 1970 with effect from November 7, 1970. It was created from parts of the dissolved district Mayen with the communities
- Brenk, Burgbrohl, Galenberg, Glees, Wassenach and weir ( municipality Burgbrohl )
- Angels, Hohenleimbach, Kempenich, Spessart and women ( municipality Kempenich )
As well as from the communities previously belonging to the district of Ahrweiler
- Dede Bach, King Field, Niederdürenbach, Niederzissen, Oberdürenbach, Oberzissen and Schalkenbach ( municipality Niederzissen).
The preliminary Verbandsgemeinden Niederzissen, Burgbrohl and Kempenich were released simultaneously.
In a first phase, the congregation Burgbrohl had been re-formed from the dissolved municipalities Burgbrohl, Lower Upper Hamlet and Oberlützingen on June 7, 1969. The community of angels was incorporated on 10 June 1979 in the town Kempenich.

Religion
The predominantly Catholic population belongs to the diocese of Trier, the evangelical Christians belong to the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland.

The association council Brohltal consists of 32 volunteer council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the full-time mayor as chairman.

According to State Planning Burgbrohl and Niederzissen are reported as basic center.
Authorities
The competent courts are the Court of Appeal and the district court in Koblenz, and the district court Sinzig. All communities are assigned to the police station Remagen. The municipality is located in the Financial District Bad Neuenahr -Ahrweiler. The competent industry and commerce has its headquarters in Koblenz.
In Niederzissen a DMV of the district of Ahrweiler is set up as a branch.
Education
In the municipality there are seven primary schools in Burgbrohl, Kempenich, Niederdürenbach, Schalkenbach, Wassenach, military and women, plus a secondary school in Niederzissen as well as a special school with a program focusing on learning in Burgbrohl available. There are also six Catholic and three municipal kindergartens.
Tourism
The municipality is located in the tourist area of Eifel / Ahr. With the predicate resort communities Kempenich and Wassenach are provided, the communities Burgbrohl, Glees and Niederzissen are designated as tourist resorts.
Viniculture
Burgbrohl and Niederdürenbach belong to the wine field Walporzheim in the wine region Ahr.
