The community association Adenau is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Ahrweiler, in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality includes the town of Adenau as well as 36 independent local churches, the county seat is located in the eponymous city Adenau.

The administrative area covers the southwestern part of the district of Ahrweiler and extends over parts of the Ahr and the high Eifel. It, together with the Association of Municipalities Kelberg, elms and the district Nohn the Volcanic Eifel high, one of three sub-regions, in which the volcanic Eifel region is divided. 58 % of the area is covered by forest, 30 % is used for agriculture and 11% are residential and traffic areas.
