Pomster

Pomster is a municipality in the district of Ahrweiler, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Adenau.

Geography

Pomster is located seven kilometers south-west of the city Adenau on a gently sloping north ridge between the valleys of Trier Bach in the west and in the east of Rossbach. To Pomster includes the living spaces in the house Suhr, Kirmutscheidermühle and Steinbächerhof. When Kirmutscheidermühle the municipality reached about 320 m above sea level. NN its lowest point on the ground.

Parish council

The local council in Pomster consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Pomster is located about one kilometer southwest of the national road 258 Koblenz- Aachen. Bus number 882 of the transport association Rhein-Mosel provides weekdays a designed especially for the student transport connection to the next town, Adenau, dar.
