Brot-Plamboz
Bread Plamboz is a municipality in the district of Le Locle in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
Geography
Bread Plamboz lies on 1'012 meters above sea level. M., 15 km west of the capital of the canton of Neuchâtel (air line). The farming village stretches along the southeast edge of the valley Vallée des Ponts in the Neuchâtel Jura, west of the pass traversal La Tourne and at the northern foot of Solmon.
The area of 16.1 km ² large municipality area comprises the eastern part of the southern section of the Vallée des Ponts. The western border is the Bach Bied. The upper valley is in the range of bread -Plamboz completely flat and partly swampy ( Marais de bread). In the south, the border is a slight elevation which is a natural culmination of the valley of the Val de Travers. In the southeast of the community ground enough of the wooded ridge of Solmon ( 1,263 m above sea level. M. ) and in the east to the height of the Montagne de Plamboz in the area of the pass La Tourne. Here there is an extensive Jura mountain meadows with the typical tall spruce trees that are either individually or in groups. A narrow strip of territory extending far to the northeast, spanning east of Bied preferred level of the Vallée des Ponts and the east slope of the adjacent anticlines of Mont Racine. The municipality Bread Plamboz comprises the villages of bread -Dessus ( 1,012 m above sea level. M. ) and Plamboz ( 1,017 m above sea level. M., at the western foot of Mont- Racine ) and the hamlets verse chez les Brandt (1 ' 008 m above sea level. M. ) Les Petits Ponts ( 1'007 m above sea level. M. ), all along the road on the eastern edge of the Vallée des Ponts, and Le Joratel ( 1,022 m above sea level. M. ) on the southern edge of the Valley. In addition, include scattered over the Jura mountains numerous farmsteads to bread -Plamboz. Neighboring communities of bread Plamboz are Les Ponts- de -Martel, Val -de- Travers, Brot-Dessous, Rochefort, Val- de -Ruz and La sagne.
Population
With 240 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) Bread Plamboz one of the small communities of the Canton of Neuchâtel. Of the 99.2 % inhabitants are French-speaking and German-speaking 0.8 % (as of 2000). The population of bread Plamboz decreased from 1880 (391 inhabitants) to 1990 (237 inhabitants), and since then is again a slight increase recorded.
Economy
Bread Plamboz is still a mainly stamped by the village agriculture, with livestock and dairy farming and cheese production predominate. During the 19th century, many of the locals made their living in watchmaking. Since the 18th century des Ponts peat was stabbed in the marshy areas of the Valley; In 1991, the peat has been set. The only industrial company is a drainage work that executes orders in the whole of Switzerland.
Traffic
The community is located off the major thoroughfares on a main road from Val de Travers to La Chaux -de-Fonds. The hamlet of Les Petits Ponts is located at the junction of this road with the main road from Neuchâtel via Les Ponts- de -Martel to Le Locle. Les Petits Ponts is operated by the postal car price of Neuenburg to Le Locle, the other hamlets are not connected to the public transport network.
History
The place name is first mentioned Broch in the year 998. It is probably due to the old French word broc ( rocky outcrop ). Bread -Dessus formed together with Brot-Dessous the community bread that belonged in the Middle Ages to the rule Boudry. In the early 14th century it came to the County of Neuchâtel. Since 1648 Neuchâtel principality and 1707 was linked by personal union with the Kingdom of Prussia. 1806, the region was ceded to Napoleon I. and came in 1815 during the Congress of Vienna to the Swiss Confederation, whereby the kings of Prussia until 1857 Neuchâtel trade also prince of Neuchâtel remained.
From 1848 belonged to the district of Boudry bread. 1888 solved the located in the Vallée des Ponts parts of the community bread and joined with Plamboz the new community bread -Plamboz together. The municipality does not have its own church, it belongs since 1685 to the parish of Les Ponts- de -Martel.
