Brown Township is one of 14 townships of Carroll County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 8300 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Brown Township is located in the extreme northwest of Carroll County in eastern Ohio and borders clockwise to the townships: Paris Township, Stark County, West Township, Columbiana County, Augusta Township, Washington Township, Harrison Township, Rose Township, Sandy Township ( Stark County ) and Osnaburg Township ( Stark County ).

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
