Columbiana County, Ohio
The Columbiana County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. In the census in 2010, the County had 107 841 inhabitants and a population density of 78.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lisbon.
Geography
The County is located in northeastern Ohio and is separated by the Ohio River from West Virginia to the southeast; in the east it is bordered by Pennsylvania, the Columbiana County has an area of 1,386 square kilometers, of which seven square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered by the following counties:
History
The Columbiana County was formed on March 25, 1803 from parts of Jefferson County and Washington County. It was named after Christopher Columbus, an Italian navigator in the service of Spain, which commonly is attributed the discovery of America.

According to the census in 2010 lived in Columbiana County 107 841 people in 41 758 households. The population density was 78.2 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The racial the population was composed of 95.5 percent white, 2.2 percent African American, 0.2 percent Native American, 0.3 percent Asian and other ethnic groups; 1.3 percent were descended from two or more races. Regardless of ethnicity, 1.2 percent of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
In the 41 758 households lived statistically 2.51 per person.
21.9 percent of the population were under 18 years old, 61.6 percent were between 18 and 64 and 16.5 percent were 65 years or older. 49.8 percent of the population was female.
The median income for a household was $ 38,004. The per capita income was $ 19,785. 16.4 percent of the population lived below the poverty line.
