Unity Township is one of 18 townships of Columbiana County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 10.294 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Unity Township is located in the extreme northeast of Columbiana County in northeastern Ohio, on the east by Pennsylvania and clockwise in the townships: Springfield Township, Mahoning County, Nortn Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, Little Beaver Township (Lawrence County, Pennsylvania), Darlington Township, Beaver County (Pennsylvania), Middleton Township, Elkrun Township, Fairfield Township and Beaver Township ( Mahoning County).

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
