Geography

The County is located in the central south-east of Ohio and has an area of ​​1069 square kilometers, of which seven square kilometers of water surface. History

Perry County was formed on December 26, 1817 from parts of Fairfield, Muskingum and Washington County. It was named after Oliver Hazard Perry, a naval officer in the British -American War of 1812-1814.
