The Brunegghorn ( 3'833 m above sea level. M. ) is a peak in the Pennine Alps on the western side of the Matter above Herbriggen. It is located 3 ½ miles northeast of the White Horn ( 4505 m) and about 2 ½ miles east-northeast of Bishorns ( 4153 m). The summit sends ridges to the northwest, northeast and southwest. From the bottom of the Matter is the Brunegghorn with its up to 57 ° steep northern wall of the dominant mountain. Routes

The normal route is through the between Schöllihorn and Brunegghorn located Bruneggjoch ( 3365 m). This yoke can be reached from the Topalihütte or Turtmannhütte, in the first case it is exceeded, in the second case one goes just below passing.
