Brzezie, Opole Voivodeship

Finke stone, Polish Brzezie, is a town in Upper Silesia. The village is situated in the village of Great Döbern in powiat Opolski in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Finke stone is located three kilometers east of the parish seat United Döbern and twelve kilometers north- west of the county town of Opole voivodship and ( Opole ).

Neighboring towns of Finkenstein are in the west United Döbern ( Dobrzeń Wielki ), in the north coupling ( copper ), to the east Horst ( Świerkle ) and the Southwest Small Döbern ( Dobrzeń Maly ).

History

Finke stone originated in 1773 as a colony. The town was laid out as a typical perfectly straight road village.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 276 voters voted to remain in Germany and 17 for Poland. Finke Stone remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 313 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 331 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945, the German city of Poland so far, has been renamed to Brzezie and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 22 April 2009 the Finke stone was in the town of Great Döbern, belongs, introduced German as a second official language on 1 December 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Finke stone.
