Buckhorn Lake (Ontario)

Buckhorn Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Ontario.

He is in the area of the townships Galway - Cavendish and Harvey and Smith - Ennismore - Lakefield in Peterborough County. The Buckhorn Lake belongs to the group of lakes of the Kawartha Lakes. The Buckhorn Lake has a total area of ​​31.19 km ² and a maximum depth of 14.3 m.

The main tributary of the Buckhorn Lake form the Gannon Narrows from the westerly Pigeon Lake. A further influx form the Harrington Narrows, connecting the lake to the southeast, Lake Chemong. All three lakes form a lake system, since they represent a coherent water surface. Another tributary is the Sandy Creek, which drains the northern Sandy Lake. The lake is divided into several bays, including Harrington Bay and Sandy Creek Bay.
